An association for all ex South Pointers across globe

Dear POINTERS,

This message is for all South Pointers across the globe who wish to come forward and help us form an Association of South Point ex-students [I am deliberately not using the term ALUMNI] to be HQ'ed at Kolkata to cater to people with specific need, be it monetary for a student who has a promise ahead but cannot go forward, be it a victim of drug abuse and so on. And may be with the help of all of you are able to form a NGO run by ex South Pointers only.

To introduce myself in a nutshell, I work for the world's one of the largest Advertising & Market Research conglomerate and based in Kolkata and had in the past actively been a part of ASPEXS [South Point Alumni Association as its one of the founder member]. Besides this I have also organized several fund raising events to help orphanages, old age homes etc.

I have already succeeded in setting up contacts with several Pointers and this includes people from Medical to Media to Law to Corporate profession and so on. We propose to set up this association in a manner that even a non-Kolkata based Pointer can be on the committee and represent in all activities either directly or through a Power of Attorney holder of his/her. With some Pointers who wish to be part of this concept, I am working on organizing a brain storming session Kolkata around mid June/3rd week and for all those of who wish to be a part of this association but cannot do so, I promise to mail each and everyone of you a power point presentation that I shall be building for the session.
